Hi Jen!  Thank you so much for kicking off the Everything Romance Grand Opening Event! I am so happy to have you here with us today!

Hi Carla! I’m so excited and honored to be here for the launch of Everything Romance! You’ve been a huge supporter of the romance community for years, and readers will love a new and reliable source to find their next favorite read.

How have you been coping throughout this pandemic?  Has it helped your writing process since you had so much time at home or hindered it?

It’s been a mixed bag for me. Before the pandemic, I was struggling to recover from some cervical neck surgery. Unfortunately, I waited too long to get the surgery, and that left me with some nerve damage that has caused tinnitus or ringing in my ears. The constant ringing had the weird side effect of silencing the voices of my characters in my head and made concentrating on writing impossible. It was both frustrating and infuriating as I’d never had that happen before. After the pandemic hit, I was stuck at home, and decided to use the time to refocus and am writing again.

However, like so many others, we’ve lost people to Covid-19, and worried about others. That definitely distracts me from writing as fast as I would like. So as I said, a mixed bag. But I’m not alone, I think all of us have had some struggles in dealing with the pandemic. My heart goes out to everyone who has lost a loved one.

Your newest release is the Savagely Sexy Rock Star Boxed Set.  What was your inspiration behind this series and what will be coming next?

The Savaged Illusions series has a very loose connection my Plus One Chronicles series. However, what really inspired me to write the series was the idea of Can a rock star have a love powerful enough to survive fame, heartbreak and treachery?

Right now, I’m switching to my paranormal series, but ideas for future books are always lining up in my head.

Can you tell us a little about Justice and Liza, the hero and heroine of the Savagely Sexy Trilogy?

Justice is the lead singer of Savaged Illusions rock band, and is obsessed with fame. In his mind, if he becomes a superstar, he will have the power he needs to fix anything—inducing his relationship with his dad, a former Marine suffering from severe injuries and PTSD so debilitating he can’t be around his son. Justice sees fame as a form of redemption for not being a good enough son.  

Liza Cade escapes her past as the girl who ruined a rock star and scores a college internship as a publicist for the band Savaged Illusions. She walks a tightrope of keeping her true identity secret and avoiding the limelight while aggressively promoting the band. But emotional and sexual chemistry sizzles between her and Justice, and they both are falling hard for one another. Liza knows getting involved with a rock star is dangerous, but she can’t resist. But soon, her past is exposed and sets the two of them on an epic journey that needed three books to tell it.

The Savaged illusions Series truly is a savage love story. As one reviewer said in her 5 Star Review, It’s a hot rock star romance with danger, raw emotion, and smoking hot romance. Jennifer Lyon ripped my heart out and then handed it back to me at the end of the story.

One of my all-time favorite series is your Wing Slayer Hunters!  Do you have anything planned for this series in the immediate future?  If so, who, what, when, where, why and how?  LOL

I’m so glad you asked! I have desperately missed the Wing Slayers, but as I mentioned above, I just couldn’t write. But now that I’m back, and the Wing Slayers are demanding I write Eli and Savi’s story in PRIMAL MAGIC, and Ram and Ginny’s story, FALLEN MAGIC. And there’s a mystery character that will show up soon who has his own story after that. I am loving it!

Well except when the characters show up at 2am ready to talk. I would really rather they wait until I’m awake and had coffee.

Do you have any plans to bring back Sloane and Kat from The Plus One Chronicles in the future?

I actually would like to write a short story about them. I have some ideas, but it’s always about time for me. One of my greatest frustrations is that my writing process is not as fast or efficient as I’d like. So the answer is…I hope so! I just need to carve out the time.
